Paul is a Registered Psychotherapist and received his undergraduate degree at York University and then went on to obtain his Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. He has also received training from the American Association of Sex Addiction Therapists and is a Certified Sexual Recovery Therapist. Paul is also a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Professionals, as well as the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, and subscribes to their professional code of ethics.
Paul has also received training in a specialized protocol to treat Post Traumatic Stress Disorder called Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). This method has been effectively used to treat symptoms of abuse and trauma for many years.
Paul has a wide range of life experience, having worked as a self-employed professional, as well as in the finance industry, the construction industry, and as a sales manager for a multi-national corporation. This has allowed Paul to be involved with a wide range of people from all walks of life, and develop a wide perspective on life's issues.

Paul has been in private practice since 2011, and lives and works in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.
As a therapist, Paul enjoys helping couples solve their relational problems, develop better intimacy and communication skills, and reconnect emotionally. He has also helped individuals dealing with stress, anger, depression and anxiety, and sexual dysfunctions, affairs and sexually compulsive behaviours.
Paul has appeared as a guest expert on LIFE 100.3 FM radio discussing recovery from sex addiction, and has also been a guest speaker at both Fleming College as well as various high schools in around Ontario. He has been a key note speaker as well as a trainer and educator.
Paul has enjoyed teaching therapy courses at Durham College as the need arises, and loves passing on his knowledge and experience to his students there!
